Formations
| | Acquired from: BL-tan
Description: A standard line formation. Everyone receives slight bonuses to initiative, speed, and attack.
Philosophy: BL-tan is a straight-forward type of person that wishes to inflict the maximum amount of pain on an individual in the shortest amount of time. This formation emphasizes the independent, up-and-at-‘em attitude embodied by that principle.
Bonuses: Slightly increased Speed, Initiative, and Attack Power.
|
| | Acquired from: Royal Knight
Description: One individual remains in the front while the others stay behind him.
Philosphy: Royal Knight main ability is his ability to take damage very well, having high endurance and spirit. By focusing his energies on defensive measures, it could be very hard to touch those he’s protecting. Ideally, those supporting him would make sure he doesn’t fall.
Bonuses: Front member receives bonuses to Armor Class, Magical Defense, and Adrenaline.
|
| | Acquired from: Cade Leary
Description: A general formation emphasizing rapid deployment and damage for a mixed party. A personal favorite of the author.
Philosophy: Cade is a mixed bag of tricks, but is primarily designed for speed and chained damage. Windrush emphasizes the speed and positions people for a constant flow of damage.
Bonuses: Party-wide speed increases.
|
| | Acquired from: Delirium Elephants
Description: A triangle formation that focuses magical energies on the character at the back of the formation.
Philosophy: As one of the few mages that the party will have, this becomes an important formation, as it both protects Delirium Elephants and increases his combat ability. The slightly phallic nature of the formation also goes along with his craziness.
Bonuses: Magic Potential drawn away from the others and centered on the point person in the back.
|
| | Acquired from: Depletion Garden
Description: An X formation. The character in the center receives all positive and negative effects.
Philosophy: Depletion Garden is a very noticeable character, but his general combat strengths are a bit mediocre.
Bonuses: Increased Stats for center position.
|
| | Acquired from: Raf Holdrak
Description: A standard 3-2 formation, emphasizing melee prowess with magical support.
Philosophy: Honestly, this was more about sticking in a 3-2 formation somewhere appropriate. However, what’s important is that the formation is not incompatible with him.
Bonuses: Attack Power increase for front row. Magic Potential increased for back row.
|
| | Acquired from: Black Dove
Description: Standard sentai V formation. A melee-oriented version of Power Focus.
Philosophy: Goes along with BD’s sentai story. Of course, the one in the middle will be the most powerful.
Bonuses: Various increased stats.
|
| | Acquired from: Noodle Knight
Description: A rounded 2-3 formation emphasizing back-row attacks with protectors up front.
Philosophy: Like Assault, this too is an excuse, in order to put in a 2-3 formation. Though, Noodle Knight is a gunner, and this works with that theme… sort of.
Bonuses: Increased defenses. Increased gunnery ability in backrow.
|
| | Acquired from: Kaorin
Description: A Hunter Shift rip-off. Emphasizes a dedicated gunner is protected from the front.
Philosophy: As the top gunner of the party, this formation capitalizes on Kaorin’s specialties. A gunner’s formation.
Bonuses: Party-wide increased gunnery skills. Even more for back gunner.
|
| | Acquired from: Zophar Ecksington
Description: Full defense of a single character.
Philosophy: As a party member with little offensive abilities, Zophar needs to (and wants to) be completely protected as he goes about his work.
Bonuses: Protectors have increased defenses. Protectee has limited protection from ranged Attacks.
|
| | Acquired from: Konoha
Description: Attack-oriented formation with Jet-Stream attack capabilities.
Philosophy: Konoha's recklessness and affinity towards damage pretty much drives this one home.
Bonuses: Front row has increased attack power and defense
|
| | Acquired from: Constanze
Description: A bowl-like formation suited for defense.
Philosophy: Constanze is trap-oriented. This formation invites an enemy to attack, risking increased defenses and counter attacks.
Bonuses: Party-wide defense up. +5% chance to counter attacks with a normal.
|
| | Acquired from: Kiryuu=Rekka
Description: An dynamic formation that can work for both parties with flexible members and those with clear-cut roles. Emphasizes on fast, well timed team attacks and flanking to disrupt enemies' actions. Leaves most party members open to attacks though.
Philosophy: Kiryuu is a gensoushu, a dragon. So I made it slightly ironic.
Bonuses: Speed, Attack, and Magic up for various parts of the "dragon."
|
| | Acquired from: O. Hakubi
Description: Honestly, I randomly put stuff together and called it a formation. Change it around if you want!
Philosophy: Just wanted something to take advantage of O Hakubi's flying abilities.
Bonuses: Party-wide increased Initiative, Attack Hit Rate, and Adrenaline.
