Story

O. Hakubi is not a wandering warrior. He's not on a quest for redemption, vengance, power, fortune, fame or anything of the sort. What he is, is a full-time employee of a modest item shop that caters to the occasional high-class mercenary, tucked away in some obscure part of the Third Realm's major shopping district, somewhat bored and discontent with his lot in life. In other words, an NPC who knows he's an NPC and isn't terribly fond of that fact.

He's always wanted to be a PC (figuratively speaking, mind you; a better analogue would probably be "heading out for adventure" or something equally cheesy and Grandia 1-ish) though he's never really had the chance, mostly because the world hasn't been put in danger at any point in his life. So naturally he'd jump at the chance at getting out of the shop and helping some people out on some quest or another. Whether or not he'd regret it after finding out what it involved is another story, though.

Introduction to the Party

Ideally, this would involve BL-tan heading up some path or another and locating the store, going in and browsing the wares (which would be pretty good - in FF terms, Ethers, some of the better healing and combat items, et cetera), after which Hakubi would make small talk with BL-tan and Company and learn that they're basically doing what he always wanted to do. At this point the player is asked whether or not they want Hakubi to join. If they say yes, he hops the counter and you get his help. If they say no, he stays behind and you can return whenever you like and stock up on relatively rare items to your heart's content (provided that you have the money, naturally).
